Can I just say how beautiful re: the invites?? Wow! I am inspired to get married also if Ron will do my invites :) Ok, how far is Las Vegas airport to Zion Ponderosa Ranch? Also, we likely will rent a car and fly in late Wed and someone may be able to cram in with us on Thurs am out to the ranch. Any recommendations on where to stay in Las Vegas other than a priceline thing? Thanks! Lynn (Ariel's aunt).
Thanks for the compliment on the invitations. Ariel and I wanted something special and unique to us, her father's artwork seemed perfect. Vegas options are obviously unlimited but...
Cheap=Circus/Circus...especially midweek. Weird ambiance but not bad if you are just hiding in a room. The price for two people is normally $50 (I don't think they will charge for Katy... though they may because she won't be spending money at the bar or casino).
Also consider Mesquite which is an hour north. Cheap and smaller compared to Vegas. Vegas can be an overwhelming place, even midweek.
Thanks for renting a car and offering space to another person. Many others are considering arriving that day so we will keep in contact about utilizing that resource.
The drive is about 3 hours from Vegas to the resort, slower for new eyes to such a fantastic national park.

we are really looking forward to being part of your special day! 4 of us driving from SF , overnite in vegas, then 2 nites in zion camping... if we can help bring some stuff or bring back some stuff (more room then as elisa and jordan are flying back monday) let us know... not sure when paul and I are returning to bay area though, so can't transport people back... and ditto on the beautiful and touching invitation!! mari and paul

Hey Phillip and Ariel! I also want to congratulate you on the beautiful invitation. No surprise, really, knowing how beautifully you both express yourselves. Sorry to not have been more responsive earlier. I can't imagine a more perfect and appropriate wedding site. It will be wonderful and unforgettable. I haven't been sure I can make it due to my new teaching schedule - teaching Thursday nights 'til 10pm and Monday mornings - because I assumed I'd need to drive from Denver, a long drive. But I'm going to try to make it work! I really want to be there. It means so much to me to be included. How long a drive IS it? Just finally scored some teaching jobs here in Denver and working night and day. Maybe I'll get a sub for Thursday, start driving after class on Wed. afternoon, and start driving back Saturday to be ready to teach Monday am. That should work. Would LOVE to be there. Will try to snag a room at the ranch if there are any left. Huge love to you both, Sarah

I am glad to hear that teaching opportunities have become so widely available for you in Denver and look forward to catching up on such developments. Appetizers will be served starting after 7 pm on Thursday for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding ceremony will start around 11 am on Friday. The location for the rehearsal dinner is still the Zebra Ranch House at the Ponderosa but we are still going through the permitting process with the NP for the wedding site. We will post here if any changes occur. Love you Sarah and look forward to the long anticipated reunion!!!
